October is a quiet month.
No more planting is in store
Weeds are not growing fast.
It's time to take a breath.

I sit alone and ponder life.
Blocking out the world.
Taking refuge in my garden
The beauty is so nice.

The memories of abuses past
Linger for a while.
Bitterly I feel the pain
My garden clears my mind.

I gaze at the fall flowers
Oh! So very pretty
The temperature is cooler
And nature begins her change.

Each tree signals fall's arrival
Their vibrant glory we enjoy
As leaves fall all around
We stand in awe of life so bold.

Peace
