BPD Criteria 9 - The Criteria Explained a Little More Clearly
(9). transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.
The player will show in this paragraph
This means feeling "out of it," or not being able to remember what you said or did. This mostly happens in times of severe stress.
For me its the severe dissociative issue. When I am in a situtation that makes me feel in mortal danger, I have what I call a blackout. I completely disssociate and lose my memory of the event. This "blackout" as I call it, lasts until I am feeling safe again. When I "come to" I have no memory of what just occured. I am confused and unsure of where I am, because while I am in the blackout I move around from room to room or place to place. My last memory is being in the place of the traumatizing event.
I hear voices in my head.. usually replaying a hurtful situation and I replay the scene out in my daydream, with full script made up as I rehash the incident once again. I speak in a whisper when this happens as I get totally involved.
I sometimes get a thought in my head that there's a plot against me. or people are conspiring to stop me doing something. I begin my "daydream" and my mind takes me to some wild a crazy places. I do this when in an uncomfortable situation like riding a bus or in a waiting room. Sometimes, when I am driving, I'll get one.
